Skydance Paramount Plans to Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News
Paramount Skydance is scheduled to begin large-scale job cuts beginning on 27 October, eliminating about 2,000 American roles under a budget-saving initiative worth $2bn under CEO David Ellison.
The workforce reduction come after the merger between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, which closed in August valued at $8.4bn.
More international job cuts are expected, with the company planning to announce complete information during its third quarter earnings report on 10 November.
Prior news had indicated the firm aimed to cut between 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.
By December 2024, the organization retained about 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts plus 3,500 contract workers.
The company did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
