In a defensive struggle this weekend, the Broncos managed to secure a 13-11 win over the struggling New York Jets. Signal-caller Bo Nix connected on a first-quarter scoring strike and kicker Wil Lutz kicked the late go-ahead field goal to secure the hard-fought win.

Defensive Performance Wins Game

Even with recording nine sacks versus Jets QB Justin Fields, the Broncos were behind 11-10 following conceding a safety in the second half. Interestingly, the Jets could only produce just 82 total net yards during the contest.

Nix, who went 19 of 30 passes for 174 yards, led a decisive 12-play, 65-yard possession that culminated in Lutz's 27-yard kick with just over five minutes left.

Record Struggles for Jets Offense

In spite of their dismal offensive display, the Jets maintained possession with a opportunity to drive for a possible winning score. But Fields was sacked on fourth down from the Denver 44 after coach Aaron Glenn chose to attempt the conversion rather than calling on kicker Nick Folk for a long field-goal attempt.

Fields had difficulties all game, connecting on just 9 of 17 attempts for 45 yards. The Jets ended up with minus-10 passing yards, the fewest in any contest since 1998.
